Velez Rubio is like going back to 1950,'s England robust, honest, sometimes, harsh to us Brits but if you're willing to embrace the Spanish language, you will find warmth & sometimes, disarming kindness, the town itself has a good choice of restaurants & bar, if you're looking for England in the sun don't come here, go to the coast. For me it's real Spain.
A little known place with a pretty centre and a beautiful church. We stopped there on route to Malaga for a quick lunch and really loved it!!!
